Blender Gems Library!

What is BlenderGems? Blender gems is a large number of 3d models that you can use to create jewelry in most 3d modeling applications. I use Blender 3d to do my modeling, but you can use just about any…

All the objects within the BlenderGems library are OBJ (Wavefront) object files, with a few exceptions. There are several models that are Blender Specific, and they are outlined in the directory tree.

If you are using BlenderGems with a recent version of Blender3d, then I would also suggest that you install an add-on for blender called “Simple Asset Manager”. This is an invaluable tool for 3d modeling as it gives you a simple way to browse your models, and append which ever you select to you viewport for modeling or modification. You can get the add-on here.

I’ve included several videos of BlenderGems here for you to learn more…

How to install BlenderGems is quite easy… After you have purchased it, you will be directed to your account page on BlenderGems.com… From there, you can download the file… It is a large file, so be patient… Once you have downloaded the file, put it into its own directory, and expand the zip file…

Once extracted, you will see a new directory tree contained in that folder, with all the models and images of each model. This directory can be added to the settings for the Simple Asset Manager and once you do that, you’re do and ready to use all the models.
